Helen Mills
Helen has been a resident of Alice Springs since 1994 after relocating from Horsham Victoria. She has been a Manager within a large retail business for over 10 years before commencing work with Ngurratjuta. Helen worked for Ngurratjuta for 22 years, working her way up from reception supervisor to bookkeeper. In 2012 she was appointed the Accounting Service Manager. Helen supervised a staff of 8. She worked closely with her clients and staff in providing a high level of financial and administrative support .
In 2021 Helen commenced her own business, Gemini Bookkeeping Pty Ltd. Over this time her clients have been as small as sole traders just making the GST threshold to major clients with turnover in excess of a million dollars. Helen realizes the importance of providing good and honest service.
She knows how to administer and report on Government grants and has served as a club treasure for serval years, where she helped facilitate and report on the expenditure of grants in excess of 1 million dollars.

Helen is a practising member of the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers for the past 10 years, and attends yearly conferences to keep abreast of changes in the bookkeeping profession.
Helen has trained to be a Certified Consultant with MYOB which allows her to train and assist where the requirement is needed.
The Taxation Practioners Board has approved Helen as a Register BAS Agent for the past 15 years.
Helen believes that her role for the past 11 years as a Justice of the Peace is helping the Alice Springs community to become and maintain a safer place to residue in.
